What a great night for the band - If opening The Deep Purple Family Tree wasn't pressure enough then add on the fact that they had only a couple of chances to rehearse, had a drummer depping for James Last, had Wayne Dorman up front for the first time and hadn't played live in a day short of a year after the tradgic loss of frontman Raggie James.

The guys put in a blistering perfomance in a time limited show that included Kill The King, Man On The Silver Mountain, I Surrender, Catch The Rainbow, Since You've Been Gone, Love's No Friend, Stargazer and Long Live Rock 'N' Roll.

No more could be asked of Bob Richards of Pure Purple fame who stood in for James on drums and provided faultless back up which enabled the rest of the band to complete an emotion filled powerhouse performance.

The band were overwhelmed with the feedback and responce from the crowd and Wayne in particular received tremendous feedback and support from Whitesnake UK, Pure Purple and The Blackmore Legacy. Everyone who was there will remember the night for years to come.

Special mention and thanks to Jo Gosling of Binks Photography for providing the photo's.
