Two Big Dates In Time

This week has seen us remembering Ronnie James Dio. Born on July 10th 1942 Ronnie has always been considered one of the greatest frontman in Rock and Rainbow were blessed to have him as vocalist between 1975 and 1979. Ritchie Blackmore has stated the reason he left Deep Purple was because he met Ronnie. Ronnie passed away on May 16th 2010.

The second date is May 17th 1976 which saw one of the greatest rock albums of all time released. Simply named Rainbow Rising the album gave us the classic "Stargazer".
